Responsibilities for Accountant:
The responsibilities for the job of Accountants are as following.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely bookkeeping.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor statements, and other financial discrepancies.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditure against budgets.
- Conduct financial analysis to support management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar’s tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Generate reports and summaries for management review.
- Use accounting software to record, track, and report financial data.
Requirements for Accountant:
The requirements for the job of Accountants are as following.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a retail or commercial environment).
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Experience in auditing procedures and tax compliance.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Al Rayyan, Qatar.
- Must be eligible to work in Qatar.
Skills and Knowledge Desired:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or SAP).
- Strong command of MS Excel and the MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and also collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
