Responsibilities for Farm Worker:
The responsibilities for the job of Farm Worker are as following.
- Planting, cultivating, irrigating, fertilizing, and spraying crops
- Weeding and hoeing between crop rows
- Hand-harvesting blueberries, raspberries, and vegetables
- Grading and sorting produce by size, shape, and quality
- Tying and securing plants to supports
- Cleaning crops and preparing them for market
- Examining fruits and vegetables for quality assurance
- Loading, unloading, and transferring crates and supplies
- Operating and maintaining basic farm machinery and equipment
Requirements for Farm Worker:
The requirements for the job of Farm Worker are as following.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Experience: No experience needed; training will be provided
- Language: Must be able to work in English
- Work Authorization: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Relocation: Must be willing to relocate to the farm location
- Availability: 40–70 hours per week, depending on season
